Our Mission: Provide service with passion, heart, and inclusion.
Nearly 1 in 12 children ages 3–17 has had a disorder related to voice, speech, language, or swallowing in the past 12 months, according to results of the first nationally representative survey of these disorders among children in the United States.
In Virginia, we estimate that there are more than 35,000 children under the age of five who may be struggling with speech and language delays. Our mission is to help children and adults overcome communication deficits whether it's during early development or later in life.
A key part of our treatment philosophy is our family-centered approach which includes the inclusion of parents and caregivers throughout the intervention process. The speech therapists work closely with families to identify and address treatment goals. We teach parents and caregivers how to help clients master essential speech and language skills at home and during everyday routines and activities.
